How To Get There

Dana Point is a quaint beach town along Southern California’s gorgeous coastline, about 60 miles south of Los Angeles.

If you're flying, the three closest airports are John Wayne Airport (SNA), Long Beach Airport (LGB), Los Angeles (LAX). You can rent a car or Uber from any of the airports. The drive from SNA is about 25 minutes, LGB is around 45 minutes, and from LAX roughly between 60-90 minutes. Just be sure to allow plenty of extra time for traffic! In weekday rush hour (typically 3-7pm), the drive from LAX can be much longer.

Weather & Packing

The weather in May in Southern California is usually warm, plan for daytime temps in the 70’s, which will normally cool to 60’s in the evenings. We recommend packing at least one warm layer such as a light jacket or wrap to keep you warm once the sun goes down. Dana Point offers beautiful beaches, boat rentals, hiking paths, and golf courses (check out Monarch Bay next to the Ritz) so please pack accordingly!
